Scary Times

Holden cut his lip and gums open pretty badly last night and gave mom and dad quite a scare! We didn't take him to the doctor, but we weren't sure if that was the right decisions. So when he hit it on something again today and it started bleeding we decided to take him in. He didn't get stitches, but the doc said if it was almost anywhere else he would have. So for now he's on a soft foods diet with emphasis on popsicles and ice cream. Our poor little guy!!

Asthma

Holden went to the doctor today and they think there is a good chance he has asthma. He's had a cough for a while that gets worse at night and weezes sometimes as well. We're going to try some albuterol for a few weeks and see if that helps. Hopefully it does and hopefully he grows out of it.

Walking!!

Holden took about six steps across the room today. I'm so excited!! Soon he'll be running all over the place.

Mama!

Holden said his second word today. Mama. Woo hoo! I love that he is learning to talk. It's so fun. And I also love that he can say Mama now. I'm sure Dada won't be far behind.

Gardner Village

I took Holden to Gardner Village on Thursday and he had so much fun!! I wasn't sure if he would like the pony rides or not (the carousel at the fair didn't go over so well), but he loved it!! He also really liked looking at the animals and checking out the witches. We will definitely be taking him again!!

First Word

Holden said his first word today. We are really excited. He said Ball. Or something close to it anyway. LOL. It's not exact, but you can tell that's what he is saying. He's just growing up so fast!

One Sick Little Boy

For the past few days Holden has had a stuffy nose, cough, and a bit of a fever. We didn't think much of it until he started wheezing last night. We ended up taking him to Kidscare. It's nothing serious, but he does have to use an inhaler a few times a day. It's no fun at all! I hate having him sick and hope he gets well soon!

Straw's are fun!

Holden figured out how to drink from a straw! It still takes him a few tries, but he's got it down. Makes things a lot easier for us. He loves to share whatever we are eating or drinking so this cuts down on the spills.
