Ugly Sears Pics

I had a coupon for Sears so I decided to get the boys pictures taken for Christmas. They really didn't turn out well at all! I was very unhappy with the photographer and customer service. But my children are just so cute that I wanted to share the pictures anyway. Here they are! These pictures remind me of why I love Tina's photography so much!

Update on Beckett

My baby is growing up! Beckett is 8 months old  now and is everywhere!!! He has been crawling for about a month now. He pulls himself to standing on anything and everything. He loves to walk along the couch and is starting to venture going from chair to chair. I am constantly amazed by my fat little baby!

He is still fat. I love that about him! He has cute pinch worthy cheeks and the chubbiest thighs ever. I'm actually not looking forward to him thinning out. He is just so dang cute! He has his two bottom teeth and I'm beginning to suspect that the top two are on their way as well. He babbles a lot and we think he says Mama. He is much more active than Holden ever was. And he also seems to get into more things than Holden did as well. It's fun to see the personality differences already. I love my fatty patty Beckett!

Tina Miera is doing a Christmas Special and wanted to use Beckett as one of the models to advertise. Here is her ad featuring the cutest baby Beckett ever!!! I love his fat rolls and his smiling face. These turned out wonderfully! And they didn't cost me a dime.

This week I am thankful for my Ward and neighbors. It has been a long time since I have been active in the Church. Since moving to this neighborhood I have been pleasantly surprised at all the wonderful people who live around us and in our Ward. Seeing their kindness and willingness to help others has helped me to find my way back to the Church. My Testimony has grown so much in the past 3 years. I'm so thankful that my family is able to benefit from knowing such wonderful people!

On a day just like today....

Our handsome little boy was born! I can't believe it has been three years since Holden joined our family. I'm so thankful to have my insanely independent, rambunctious, imaginative little boy! Our family wouldn't be the same without him. I love you, Holden!

A Few of His Favorite Things-2009

In honor of Holden's 3rd birthday coming up on the 9th I wanted to post some of his favorite things. I did this last year and I think I'll do it every year from now on. It's fun to see what he likes and is enjoying.

He LOVES Transformers right now. He watches it all the time. I can't even begin to tell you sick of this movie Tim and I are. We're going to have to buy the second one just for some sanity.

Lightning McQueen. What boy his age doesn't love him?

He also still loves Curious George. He sleeps with him every night. And that is by far his favorite tv show to watch. He also picked to have a George birthday party this year.

And last, but not least, he loves to sing! He will pretend almost anything is a microphone. He makes up songs all the time. He will also sing to Beckett when he is upset. Beckett loves it and so do I. So cute! Enjoy the cute videos of him singing.

Family Pictures

We had some family pictures taken last Sunday by the always wonderful Tina Miera. I LOVE the way they turned out. My kids are so stinkin' cute! And Beckett is such a little fatty. I'm so glad to capture their personalities on film to have forever. You can see how much we enjoy each other as a family from these photos. My boys (all three of them) are so handsome!

Trunk or Treat

We had so much fun at the annual trunk or treat for salt lake city mommies. They put on a great little carnival and Holden got tons of candy from all the trunks. I thought I would share a few pictures of my kids. If you haven't joined the site yet, you should do it now! We have lots of fun activities for every holiday as well as play-dates throughout the year.

Falling Leaves

Autumn is by far my favorite season. And I love the beautiful pictures I get to take of my boys playing in the leaves in our front yard. Enjoy!!

My Budding Photographer

Here are a few samples of the fantastic pictures Holden decided to take with my camera. If you can't tell I had no idea he was using it. There were over 30 so I'm sure he had fun. And I'm glad he did because it will never happen again. He was quite proud of himself. Aren't they just wonderful?

8 Years and Counting

Eight years ago today I married my wonderful husband, Tim. We've been through some ups and some downs, but overall have been very happy. I'm so glad to have him as my husband. I love him so much! He is a wonderful husband and father. I'm sure we have many more years ahead of us. Happy Anniversary!!

Six month old Chubster

Beckett is six months old! Can you believe it? Where does the time go? He is also a little fatty patty. No surprise there. He weighs 20 pounds 1 ounce which puts him in the 90th percentile. He is 27.5 inches long and has a head circumference of 45 cm, both of which put him in the 75th percentile.
He is rolling all over the place and has also started rocking on all fours. So I'm sure crawling isn't too far away. He is full of smiles most of the time and loves attention! He also is in love with his older brother. He laughs at/for Holden way more than anyone else. I love seeing the two of them together.

Today I am so thankful for my wonderful husband!!


Tim has been hunting this weekend and it has reminded me of how much I love having him home. He is such a good dad and great man! I'm so lucky to have him in my life. He always takes the time to rough house with Holden or to kiss Beckett, something to show them how much he loves them! He makes dinner for the family almost every night and never complains about it. He works extremely hard so that I can stay home with our kids. He is very goal oriented and always strives to help me with my goals. He is also very supportive of me and the kids. He has zero interest in going to Church, yet almost every week is asking me if I'm going and helping me to get the boys ready to go. I'm so thankful he is in my life.
I hope you know how much I love you, Tim!!

52 Blessings - Friends

This week I am so thankful for good friends! I have a decent amount of friends, but not many GOOD friends. I can always tell who they are when I'm having a bad day. Who do I want to call and vent or cry to? Those are the best friends in the world. It seems that the good friends happen to call at just the right time or day also. Maybe they have a sixth sense that I need them?
More specifically, my best friend is Becky. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. I know I've posted about her before, but she is such a huge part of my life that she gets another post. I can't even imagine my life without her. She has gotten me through some rough times and has always been there for me. She was the one who took me to get confirmation that I was pregnant in high school and also was there for labor and delivery in the middle of the night. I love you, Becky!! Who knew my sister would end up also being my best friend?
And thank you to all my wonderful friends!I'm so lucky to have you all in my life!

I'm stealing this idea from my friends Jenny & Kristy.....Each week I will blog about someone or something I have been blessed with! I'm going to try to do it on Sundays just for the sake of me remembering to do it.
This week it's my mom, Joan. She is fabulous! I have had some trying times in my life and I honestly don't think I could have made it through them without my wonderful Mother. When I got pregnant in high school she became my rock. Since then I have noticed so many great qualities about her. I have changed my way of thinking. I no longer say "I don't want to be like my mom." Now when I say something she said to us (which is often) I laugh and am proud that I turned out like her. I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

She is also a great Grandma! She always says yes when I ask her to babysit my children and even took my horrible sleeper Holden overnight for us when I was pregnant. She seems to always have a little gift or candy for the kids. (Okay, maybe that one is annoying. LOL) And she has a never ending supply of hugs and kisses for them. Mom, I hope you realize just how wonderful you are!!
