Happy Anniversary to me!

Seven years ago today I married my best friend, my wonderful husband Tim. We have certainly had our ups and downs, but I'm so glad to be married to such a wonderful man. We are in such a great place in our lives and I'm so happy that I am still with the man that I love. I love you, Tim!

13 weeks and counting!

Fingerprints have formed on my baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If I'm having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. My baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.

I've been lucky with this pregnancy (well all of my pregnancies) because I don't really get sick. I am way more tired, and I get nauseous occasionally, but that's pretty much it. I'm excited to get out of the first trimester and hopefully get a little energy back.

Hunting

Oh how I hate hunting season. LOL. Tim left tonight to go elk hunting. He's been looking forward to it all year so I'm happy for him. But he won't be home until Monday night which means it's just me and Holden all weekend! I'm sure I'm going to need some me time by the time Tim gets back. At least Tuesday is my birthday. That means he has to do some pampering, right? :)

Our little Kidney Bean!

We had an ultrasound yesterday just to make sure everything is okay with the baby. Everything looks great! The baby is measuring right where she should be at 8 weeks and one day and has a strong little heartbeat.

Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, her eyelids practically cover her eyes, breathing tubes extend from her throat to the branches of her developing lungs, and her "tail" is just about gone. Your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

School's In!

Tim officially started school again on Monday. He's still truckin' along up at the University of Utah. I'm so proud of him for continuing to go when it would be so easy to just quit! I hate having him gone, but it's a means to an end, right? Before too long he'll have a degree and be a happier person. And he'll also be around more. :)

Good News!!

Things have been great for our family lately! Tim has been doing well at his job, I am so thankful to be able to stay home with my wonderful little boy, and life has just been happy. And now we have more good news!! Holden is going to be a big brother in April! We are very excited about this. It happened much quicker than we expected, but we are ecstatic. Here is Holden posing for the camera in his new shirt. This is how we told both Tim and my families this past weekend. It was pretty fun.

So in short, we are pregnant!!
