Good times at the ER

Beckett has been fighting a cold for the past few weeks. On Wednesday he started getting extra fussy and we noticed he had a fever. Thursday he still had the fever so we called his doctor just to make sure we didn't need to do anything. Because he is so young and his fever was over 101 our doc sent us to Primary Children's to make sure he was okay. Three and half hours, a million tests including a lumbar puncture (they take spinal fluid to check for meningitis. NOT FUN) and one ER copay later and Beckett has some kind of viral infection. I didn't think it was anything scary, but it's better to err on the side of caution. He had a follow up visit with his doctor today and is doing fine. His fever is down and his fussiness is a little better. So for now we just need to wait out the infection.
