Holden has had a cold for a week or so and yesterday started being REALLY ornery. He then decided that he would only go to sleep if he was upright so I decided to take him in to see his doctor today. And, yep, he has an ear infection. Let's hope he gets better quickly so I can have my happy boy back.

Archibald Family Pictures
A few weeks ago we had family pictures done with my side of the family. While they didn't turn out as good as I had hoped, here are a few. We are also getting pictures done with Tim's side of the family on Saturday so I'll post some of those when we get them back as well. You can click on the picture to make it bigger if it's too small.

Tagged!!
How to play this game of tag. Post these rules on your blog. List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
JOYS:
1-I love being a mom! My son is by far my greatest joy.
2-My family. They are just awesome! I don't know that I could survive without them.
3-My husband, Tim. He knows me inside and out and loves me anyway. Despite all my flaws (and there are many)
FEARS:
1-That I won't be able to protect my son. Not just physically, but emotionally & mentally. I want so much for him!
2-Heights! Maybe this is a lame one, but I am deathly afraid of heights. My brother & some friends talked me into going on the Rocket at Lagoon once and I almost started crying & peeing in my pants I was so scared. I honestly get scared just thinking about it now.
3-A big fear for me is that I will lose my son. Either him dying or being kidnapped. I think the experiences I've had in my life greatly play a part with this fear, but I just can't seem to convince myself that things will be okay.
GOALS:
1-I want to get my teaching degree. It probably won't happen for a while, but it is going to happen!
2-Be a better friend/wife/mother (I think this is an ongoing goal)
3-To get my house organized!!
OBSESSIONS/COLLECTIONS:
1-I'm way too obsessed with Salt Lake City Mommies. For those of you that don't know it's a non-profit organization for moms. It has a website that helps moms connect with eachother and they also arrange playdates and mom's nights. It's awesome! I volunteer for them as well.
2-I love taking pictures! Mostly of Holden, but I enjoy taking them of everyone. There are just too many fun things to see that I want to be able to remember forever.
3-I collect fairy figurines. I don't know why, but I just love the way they look! At the moment they are all still boxed up, but one day we'll find a place to put them and they will all be displayed again.
RANDOM FACTS:
1-I have OCD! Not insanely bad, but all my clothes need to face the same way in the closet, and they are arranged by size (tank tops, short sleeve, three quarter sleeve, and long sleeve). There are a bunch of other things I could tell you about as well.
2-I hate Mayo!! I think it is the nastiest thing on earth.
3-I am very shy until I get to know you. Then you can't get me to shut up!
Now you know a little more about me. LOL. I'm tagging Jenny, Becky, Leah and Kori.

18 months old!

My little baby is turning into a little boy! I'm not sure if I like it or not. He had his 18 month Well Child Check today and he is doing great! He weighs 30 pounds and is 33 1/4 inches tall. That puts him in the 80th percentile in weight and 75th percentile in height. He's also in the 98th percentile in head circumference. He has a vocabulary of almost 60 words now and is starting to put two words together. Which means he is well above average in speech.
He is, however, still a little stinker. Today he moved daddy's 24 pack of mountain dew over to the table so he could climb up. Then he found the open can of mountain dew on the table and proceeded to dump it all over the floor, the table, and himself. It's funny now, but wasn't very funny this morning. It's a good thing we love him so much!

Our Garden
Tim has done an awesome job on our garden this year. We have so many things growing. I'm excited for some fresh food. Holden also decided he would help daddy plant things on Saturday. It was pretty cute.
Outside Play
Holden LOVES his new swing set! He wants to play on it all the time. These are a few of the pictures we got of him having fun. You can tell from the looks on his face that he was having a ball. He got really mad at me when we told him it was time to come in. I'm sure we will have many more fun times with this swing set this summer.

Tim's New Truck

Tim finally found a truck that he wanted for a price he was willing to pay. So here it is! Tim's "new" truck. Woo hoo! It's a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. It's in really good shape with low miles. I think Tim is in heaven. And we've already used it to haul stuff! We decided to buy Holden a swing set from KSL. I'll post pics once it is all set up.
