Holden's Poor Head

We were out shopping at a store today and Holden was standing in the back of the cart when he fell out. He landed right on his head and now has a HUGE goose egg to show for it. I feel absolutely horrible! (I think I probably cried harder than he did.) Overall, he is fine, but it was scary. Just goes to show that they have safety guidelines on carts for a reason. Needless to say Holden will no longer be standing in the back of the cart when shopping. Here he is showing off his new owie.

Date Night

Last night Tim and I had our first overnight date night since having Holden. My mom took Holden overnight so we could go out. We went out to eat at the Happy Sumo, watched a movie, and stayed at the Anniversary Inn. It was so nice!! And so hard for me. LOL. That was the first night I've ever been away from Holden. I just kept thinking about him and worrying. I was so anxious to go pick him up today. But it was also wonderful to have some time to ourselves and to remember why we love eachother as much as we do.

Thanks mom for taking Holden and being willing to sacrifice a good nights sleep so we could get out. :)

Christmas

A few Christmas morning pics. Holden had so much fun opening presents! He mostly ignored the ones that Santa left unwrapped until he was completely done unwrapping all of the others.

Making Cookies with Grandma

On December 22nd we went to my mom's to make our annual sugar cookies. The kids love helping and it's a great tradition. We always had fun doing it when we were younger. This year was no exception. We had a lot of fun!

Holden crying with the Grinch. I thought if I sat with him he wouldn't be as upset, but obviously that didn't work. He still tells me almost every day that he was crying with the Grinch. Makes me laugh.
