In honor of Father's Day we asked Holden & Beckett to tell us all about Tim. So here it is 5 & 3 year old style!

1. What is something dad always says to you?
Holden- I love you
Beckett- I love you

2. What makes dad happy?
Holden- Me giving him a ticket to see the Red Sox (this hasn't happened)
Beckett-Something great

3. What makes dad sad?
Holden- Not spending time with me for a long long long long time.
Beckett- Crying
4. How does your dad make you laugh?
Holden- Tickle me
Beckett- He made some weird laughing noise in response to this question.

5. What was your dad like as a child?
Holden- He liked to play with toys
Beckett- He liked little cake

6. How old is your dad?
Holden- 20
Beckett-1
7. How tall is your dad?
Holden- 44 inches tall
Beckett- Bigger

8. What is his favorite thing to do?
Holden- Watch the Broncos
Beckett- To his job

9. What does your dad do when you are not home?
Holden- He has some quiet time
Beckett- Drawing on his paper

10. If your dad becomes famous, what will it be for?
Holden- For running a hundred miles to California
Beckett- He died

11. What is your dad really good at?
Holden- Working
Beckett- Shooting in the mountains
12. What is your dad not good at?
Holden- Keeping track of things
Beckett- Crying again
13. What does your dad do for a job?
Holden- He calls some people and does some thing online.
Beckett- Riding

Holden- Enchiladas
Beckett- His cake
15. What makes you proud of your dad?
Holden- Him letting me get ice cream
Beckett- Something his favorite

Holden- Optimus Prime
Beckett- Space Daddy in his suit

17. What do you and your dad do together?
Holden- Watch TV
Beckett- Play together

18. How are you and your dad the same?
Holden- We both have blonde hair
Beckett- Daddy has hair on him and I have hair on my arms

19. How are you and your dad different?
Holden- I'm smaller and he's bigger
Beckett- Daddy has hair on his chin, but I don't have hair on my chin

20. How do you know your dad loves you?
Holden- Because he gives me hugs and kisses every night and sometimes in the day
Beckett- He loves me. 'Cause he does.

21. What does your dad like most about your mom?
Holden- You buying stuff for him
Beckett- Playing together with you. And hugging you and giving you kiss.

22. Where is your dad's favorite place to go?
Holden- To the Broncos games
Beckett- To that place where the animal is on the drink.

Holden's Last Day of Preschool

Today was Holden's last day of preschool. I was prepared to cry and feel nostalgic, but it didn't happen. He was happy and playing the whole time in class. And he is beyond excited to start Kindergarten. Plus, Beckett will be starting preschool in the Fall so I know we will still be visiting our favorite school two days every week. Guess that's all it takes to keep my tears at bay.

Holden also got his end of year report card today and got an excellent on every single thing. Every thing! I honestly didn't expect that. He is growing into such a smart, caring, thoughtful, handsome little man. I love him to pieces and couldn't be more proud.

Starting My Weight Loss Journey With Team #Cinchspiration

This is for all of you that don't read Mamas on a Dime (Dad) or didn't see this post.

Holden- Me leaving. (he has packed his suitcase to run away a few times now)

Holden- Shopping. For free stuff! (Does he know me or what?)

Happy Birthday Timothy!

 Timothy at his basketball championship game in February.

I know he isn't mine, but I felt his little feet kick my ribs for weeks on end.
I know he isn't mine, but I rejoice in his accomplishments and mourn for his losses.
I know he isn't mine, but his eyes and ears and feet are.
I know he isn't mine, but I can't imagine my life if he had never entered it.
I know he isn't mine, but I will always be his.
I am not his mom, I cannot take credit for his deeds.
But I am his birth mother, and I am responsible for his life.

Fifteen years ago today I gave birth to a beautiful 7 pound 1 ounce baby boy. He has grown into such a smart, handsome young man. I was never meant to be his mom. But I can't help but love him just as much as if I were.

I love you and happy birthday, Timothy!

My Kids

They know me in a way no one ever has.

They open me to things I never knew existed.

They drive me to insanity and push me to my depths.

They are the best of my heart. The pulse of my veins. And the energy in my soul.

They are my kids.

I cannot even begin to imagine my life without these two absolutely amazing little boys.
